Salon is a prestige champagne house founded in 1911 by Aime Salon, a fur trader and champagne enthusiast, in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Cote des Blancs subregion of Champagne, France. Salon occupies a singular position among champagne producers: it makes only one wine, a vintage blanc de blancs champagne composed entirely of Chardonnay grapes sourced from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, one of the most prized Grand Cru villages in Champagne.

Salon produces champagne only in years when the harvest meets its exacting standards, averaging roughly three to four releases per decade. Since 1911, the house has declared only approximately 40 vintages. In non-vintage years, the grapes are directed to Salon's sister house, Delamotte, which operates from the same premises. Each vintage of Salon undergoes extended aging on lees, typically ten years or more, before disgorgement and release.

The house is owned by Laurent-Perrier, the French champagne group. Salon's extremely limited production, often fewer than 60,000 bottles per declared vintage, and its singular focus on one vineyard village and one grape variety have made it one of the most sought-after and collectible champagnes in the world.

Salon champagne is distributed through select fine wine merchants and appears on the lists of leading restaurants globally. Current release vintages typically retail above $500 per bottle, with older and rarer vintages achieving significantly higher prices at auction.
