Aurora is an Italian manufacturer of fine writing instruments founded in 1919 in Turin by textile merchant Isaia Levi, making it Italy's first fountain pen factory. The company remains based in Turin, where it operates from the historic Abbadia di Stura complex, home to its factory and to the Officina della Scrittura, a museum dedicated to the culture of writing.

Aurora's catalog is anchored by two long-running designs: the Optima, derived from the brand's celebrated 1930s model with auroloide celluloid-style resin, and the 88, designed in 1947 by Marcello Nizzoli, which became one of Italy's most recognizable postwar pens. The company also produces the Ipsilon and Talentum lines, high-complication and limited editions, inks, and leather accessories.

Aurora is one of the few pen manufacturers in the world that produces its own nibs entirely in-house, grinding and finishing 14K and 18K gold nibs in Turin. Its limited editions frequently celebrate Italian culture and craftsmanship, with some incorporating precious metals and stones at five-figure prices.

The company remains family-owned and Italian-run, and sells through authorized pen retailers worldwide as well as its own boutiques and online presence. A century after its founding, Aurora positions itself as the guardian of Italian fine writing, with production still concentrated at its Turin manufacture.
