Bimota is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1973 in Rimini, its name formed from the founders' surnames Bianchi, Morri, and Tamburini. The company built its reputation by combining engines from major manufacturers with its own advanced chassis engineering, producing hand-built motorcycles in small numbers that became collector pieces.

Co-founder Massimo Tamburini, who later designed the Ducati 916 and MV Agusta F4, established Bimota's engineering-led approach. The brand is particularly associated with the Tesi series, which uses hub-center steering in place of a conventional front fork, a configuration Bimota has refined across several generations since the early 1990s.

In 2019 Kawasaki took a significant stake in the company, beginning a new era of collaboration. Current models include the Tesi H2, powered by Kawasaki's supercharged Ninja H2 engine, the KB4 with Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX power, and the Tera crossover, all featuring Bimota-designed frames, billet components, and carbon bodywork built in Rimini. The partnership also returned Bimota to world-championship racing.

Production remains deliberately limited, with motorcycles assembled largely by hand and sold through selected dealers in Europe, North America, Japan, and other markets. Pricing typically starts around 30,000 euros, positioning Bimota among the most exclusive series-production motorcycle brands.
